Two weeks later: ICT Everything v2 is getting close
Faster redraws, SMT that follows the swing instead of the timestamp, a batch of fixes, and what is left before v2 goes public.
https://stratinator.com/blog/two-weeks-later-ict-everything/Two weeks ago, I wrote about forking the abandoned ICT Everything indicator and testing a maintained v2 in public. Since then, most of the work has been less about adding features and more about making sure the ones already there behave properly on a real chart.
The first thing you would notice is speed. Changing a setting used to leave TradingView redrawing the chart for about 10 seconds. On the same chart, that is now closer to 2-3 seconds.
SMT now follows the swing, not the timestamp
The original SMT comparison expected NQ and ES to make their pivots on the same candle. Markets are rarely that tidy. If one made its swing a candle earlier or later, the divergence could be missed.
V2 now compares the corresponding swings instead. It still waits for the candle to close, so the signal does not appear and disappear while the candle is forming.
Fixes you should not have to think about
The fair value gap crash is fixed. A wick into a gap counts as a touch; the gap is only marked filled when a candle body closes through it. The drawing and the alert now follow the same rule.
Session alerts stop after their first valid break instead of firing again later. Day labels work on shortened sessions. New York time follows daylight saving time automatically. Previous-week and previous-month levels, opening gaps, labels, and session boxes also stay on the chart instead of disappearing as new drawings are added.
Where it stands
I have been running the current build on NQ and BTC with the main sessions, previous-week and previous-month levels, opening gaps, fair value gaps, SMT, and alerts enabled.
Before I publish it, I still want one clean BTC week/month boundary and some broader checks on FX and equities. The TradingView description and default chart screenshot are ready for review, but the indicator is not public yet.
It will stay free and open-source under MPL 2.0, with full credit to coldbrewrosh and the original sources. There is no paid version and no Discord funnel.
If the original broke for you on a particular broker, timezone, or instrument, send me a reproducible example. I would rather test it now than find it in the comments after publication.
